Tata Safari & Harrier Petrol Engine ;
Recently, it has been told in media reports that Tata is no longer focusing on petrol engines, especially in Safari & Harrier And yes this media report is true.
When media sources interacted with Rajan Amba, Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Customer care, Tata motors limited said that
”…In these cases, the diesel engines give themselves a kind of driveability that is expected from an SUV. That’s our take on it. It’s been pretty successful for us in the diesel version. I don’t think it’s a priority for now to introduce a petrol alternative in that range.”
Their statement suggests that Tata Motors is no longer fixing the Safari and Harrier's petrol engines and perhaps the petrol engines to be can't see in safari & harrier.
The Tata Safari and Harrier are powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 168 Bhp and 350 Nm torque. this engine is coupled with six speed Manual and 6 speed Automatic Transmission.
